Atlas of
High-End Audio
The Art Of Audiophile Music Reproduction
This book is a tribute to the craftsmanship, engineering, design and creativity behind sound reproduction systems at the very highest level. It’s dedicated to the art of the 2-channel system, in coffee-table book unlike anything done before.
About this book
We want to present the beauty of some of the greatest audio components made today. It’s all about technology and design perfected over the last century. We present each of the 134 greatest brands with a short text and photos of some of the components they are known for.
The four authors of Atlas of High-End Audio are Norwegian, each with different backgrounds. Three teachers and a physician, who have in common a life-long passionate interest in music, sound quality and Hi-Fi setups. Norway is a country with a long history of both music and Hi-Fi equipment. From Edvard Grieg’s Peer Gynt suites, to well-known audio companies, such as Hegel, Electrocompaniet and SEAS.
We are completely industry independent and have no sales or promotional interests in any of the brands presented in our book. It is all made out of pure passion for our hobby, and we want to share it with you all.
